But if you can find a discord\/group for the game on here, you can definitely find some very nice people to play with. The story is pretty good, but only lasted me a night before I played it completely though.. even tho im low ranked.IM NOT DONE YET!. Really good game, especially for the first game in the franchise.The storymode felt like you were playing a movie.Can't wait to see the first DLC characters.. Pros:+bright and colorful anime visuals+ost during final boss fight+fan favorite charactersCons:-dead online-lack of content without onlineOverall: 6.0/10 it's fine. First off, it's hard to decide, if i recommend it or not, because actually... i do neither.i bought it, because i like the series, even though i had read and seen the bad reviews. And guess what: they were mostly justified.+ What i really liked, is the story. It has a mixture of actual anime-cutscenes, 3D-animated cutscenes and 2D-only text cut"scenes". The whole story is pretty much like an extra arc for the anime. o But the cutscenes sadly lack a tiny bit of detail, as if a few frames and text parts were missing, so some things weren't 100% clear for me in the Asta-part of the story.Now to the rest: - the playerbase is nonexistent, so the multiplayer doesn't make much sense. - For me, it wouldn't have been fun anyways, since the battles are just a massive crowd of epilepsy-inducing shiny colours, lines etc. You can't see what happens, if you want to do anything except standing far away from the battles. - there is no killcam, so you can't even see, what killed you. - Also there is no way to strategically play, since the outcome of the game is pretty much luck based. You can't change characters, but some chars are direct counters to others. So if you have an opponent with a team that counters yours, you WILL get slaughtered- the combat is a bit bland with only having one main attack and at least 2-3 non-damage skills (depending on class) and a weird aim system (i play with a controller), with which you often can't even place some skills properly.- with some "fighter"-class characters, you don't really have a chance to do anything, because there is no way to fly, dash or run into the area or an opponent. You can just hope for luck that you don't get massive knockdowns.But: i won't say that it's 100% a bad game, because it isn't. If you're a casual gamer that wants something with a theme you enjoy, when you have time, then it's nice. Just not something with frequent re-play-value. The original price is a joke and a disgrace, though.I've got the deluxe edition (incl. season pass) for 23€ and could've gotten the standard edition for 11€. In hindsight: i should've gotten the standard edition. For those prices, the game is fully ok, so i'll still recommend it for people that have a similar playstyle or attitude or expectation towards this game as me.
